Boomerang is Bellewarde's shuttle coaster featuring three inversions ... taken forwards and backwards!
It was amongst the first crop of Vekoma Boomerang rollercoasters to be built, and opened as the first Boomerang in Europe in 1984.
Bellewarde's version is the standard Boomerang design. The ride's train is winched up a 45 degree hill before being released, rushing through the station and into a cobra roll element which inverts riders twice. Following this is a vertical loop with the train then travelling up a second spike. After a short pause, the train is released again, racing backwards to traverse the entire layout in reverse.
Similar to other Vekoma Boomerangs, Bellewaerde's is less than smooth and provides a rather rough and tumble experience. It's uncomfortable rather than a full-on headbanging onslaught though, so one to try instead of avoiding entirely.
