Djurs Sommerland is one of the few theme parks in Denmark and was opened in 1981.
The park features several rollercoasters amongst other attractions, including the much praised Piraten 100ft tall Intamin Mega-Lite.
Other notable rollercoasters include Juvelen, a launched motorbike coaster also by Intamin; Thor's Hammer, a Gerstlauer Bobsled Coaster; and Skatteøen, the biggest water coaster in Northern Europe. These are supported by a number of flat rides, water rides, crazy golf, play areas and canoes.
Djurs Sommerland is a little off the beaten-track for most people, but those who bother to seek it out will be rewarded with some wonderful rides and warm hospitality.
