Thunderbird is the fantastic wooden rollercoaster at PowerPark in Finland.
The ride opened at the park in 2006 and was built by the renowned manufacturer Great Coasters International (GCI).
Thunderbird begins with a first drop which dives down to the left, on the edge of PowerPark bordered by forest which creates a beautiful setting. From there the layout features speedy turns and hills as the track weaves its way in and out of itself.
It uses GCI's Millennium Flyer trains which have well cushioned seats that ensure a smooth and pleasant experience throughout.
While it isn't quite up there with GCI's triumphs such as Joris en de Draak at Efteling, Troy at Toverland or Wodan at Europa Park, Thunderbird is still a superb ride with plenty of fun - and G-forces - from start to finish.
