A busy evening at Amigoland

Amigoland is a summer funfair, set a little way inland from the beach at Le Grau-du-Roi near Montpellier in the South of France.

The funfair operates over the summer season between mid June and the end of August, opening in the evenings only with rides beginning to open up around 8pm or so (although its a lazy start with much of the fair not really getting going until some time after that) then running late into the night.

Alongside the usual assortment of travelling funfair rides are several more permanent ride installations including Jumbo Jet, a classic Schwarzkopf Jumbo Jet rollercoaster which still operates without any formal rider restraints; King Tower, a large star flyer; and Water Chute, a 355 metre log flume with two big drops.

Although smaller than other fairgrounds in Southern France such as Fabrikus World which operates a little further along the coast, Amigoland is a great place to spend an evening with a good atmosphere and a varied ride selection to cater for families and thrillseekers alike.
