Futuroscope's huge IMAX cinema building

Futuroscope is one of the largest and most popular theme parks in France, and offers a very different experience from most amusement parks, with many of its attractions based around simulators, giant screens and multimedia presentations.

The park stretches over a huge area populated by large futuristic looking pavilions which house many of the major attractions including what was France's first ever IMAX 4K cinema with laser projection.

Headline attractions include Objectif Mars, Futuroscope's first and currently only rollercoaster which opened in 2020 and is themed around a journey through space towards the red planet. Chasseurs de Tornades is a mind-blowing spectacle that transports visitors into the heart of a tornado thanks to a spinning cinema auditorium surrounded by a 360° screen. A hidden gem is La Machine à Voyager dans le Temps, a crazy dark ride through history hosted by a band of alien rabbits that can't help but get involved in events and cause hilarious mayhem in the process. For those wanting more of a thrill, Danse avec les Robots features riders attached to robot arms which spin and pirouette through the air in time with high energy dance music tracks.

Alongside the rides and giant screen based attractions, Futuroscope also offers a planetarium, magic show, playgrounds and a water play area. The quality on offer across the park's range of food outlets and restaurants is very high, with a huge buffet served up at La Table d'Arthur and the chance to have your meal delivered via rollercoaster at Space Loop Restaurant, to name but two of the options available. After dark the Futuroscope's lake comes alive to tell the tale of the Sandman in the spectacular evening show "The Key to Dreams".

While many of the attractions feature a lot of French speaking and narration, non-French speakers can take advantage of English and Spanish translations of several key attractions by downloading the "Listen Everywhere" app (available for both Apple and Android devices). Don't forget your headphones, but if you do then bluetooth earphones can be bought at the park entrance or information desk. They also offer powerbank hire for visitors who find their phone batteries running low.

Futuroscope is incredible, both in its epic scale and quality of its attractions. It is impossible to see everything in one day, even when the park is open for almost fourteen hours during the peak summer months. It's beautifully French, but its exceptional entertainment ensures that visitors from around the world will be in awe at the inspirational extravaganza on offer.
