One of the carousel horses
Le Carrousel Vénitien (The Venetian Carousel) at Jacquou Park has been offering rides at the park since 2009.
The carousel was manufactured by Bertazzon, and features traditional ride-on horses and carriages across two floors, with the smaller upper deck accessed via a staircase.
The whole ride is richly decorated, the horses wearing colourful saddles and the roof of the carousel featuring painted Italian scenes. These are in better condition than much of the paintwork on other rides at Jacquou Park, although the ride's once smartly varished floor is extremely worn.
Rides on Le Carrousel Vénitien are fun and generously long, and are accompanied by an organ music soundtrack.
