Visitors to Le Pal can experience a wild quadbike ride through the Canadian wilderness on Yukon Quad, the park's launched family rollercoaster.
Yukon Quad is a Family Launch Coaster from Intamin, very similar to Juvelen at Djurs Sommerland in Denmark, and shares the same motorbike/quadbike style straddle seating.
The coaster is set in the Yukon Valley within the heart of Canada's north west, and the ride's track weaves its way around a suitably rocky landscape surrounded by trees - many of which will grow over time to make it feel much more enclosed and provide even more headchopper moments.
The ride itself is a lot of fun, with a nice special effects sequence prior to the first launch and a mid-course tyre propelled boost which gives it a bit of a kick and ensures a speedy and surprisingly intense second half. The straddle seating helps with the excitement, putting riders' bodies higher above the track and enhancing the out of control feelings.
Yukon Quad is a great and slightly unusual family rollercoaster, with some speedy launches and a nicely weaving layout that is perfect for the quadbike themed ride.
