Parc des Combes describes Déval'Train on their website as being a rollercoaster from the same manufacturer as the "famous mine train" (Big Thunder Mountain) at Disneyland Paris.
That's just about where the similarities end though. While Big Thunder Mountain is a great coaster through a highly themed landscape, Parc des Combes' Déval'Train is a rather rickety Vekoma Junior rollercoaster with a primary coloured train that looks a little like a children's toy.
There's a distinct sideways shuffle as the train makes its journey around the track, the bell on the front of the engine ringing due to the amount of vibration and shaking along the way.
At least there's an attempt at a little bit of theming in terms of some old mine carts plus some bushes and shubbery to add interest, while at one point the train races through a small tunnel.
Déval'Train is a rollercoaster with seemingly a slightly confused identity, unsure as to whether it is an oversized kiddie toy train or a serious mine train. It is a good example of neither, and with its general rattling and less than brilliant ride experience, it's a bit of a damp squib.
