Drakkar is a vaguely Viking themed log flume at Walygator Sud-Ouest theme park in France.
The log flume takes riders on a journey floating through a tree lined route which winds through a forest, before ultimately culminating in a large drop into a lake. This results in a big soaking for riders, with water coming in over the sides of the log and drenching those in the back seat!
Before coming to Walygator Sud-Ouest in 1996, the flume was originally found at Walibi Belgium where it operated as Rivière Sauvage and Rio Grande between 1978 and 1994.
Drakkar is a fairly standard Reverchon Log Flume, although it takes advantage of the surrounding trees to create a relaxing voyage through the local woodland before the finale splashdown. For a ride which doesn't look much at first glance, it has a decent main drop which is almost guaranteed to ensure everyone gets wet.
