Germany's oldest theme park, Tripsdrill offers a taste of the rural Germany of yesteryear.
The park first opened in 1929 and has been in the hands of the Fischer family ever since. There's a particular emphasis on capturing historic scenes from life in the countryside, which gives the whole park a friendly nostalgic feel.
A zoo was added in 1957 which has subsequently been converted into a large wildlife park and offers visitors the chance to see a large number of animals spread out over its 120 acre site.
Together with some quirky flat rides, the theme park side of Tripsdrill includes Mammut, a sawmill themed wooden rollercoaster, and Karacho, a launched Gerstlauer Infinity coaster. Visitors can also encounter attractions and exhibitions such as a wine museum which offers the chance to try some tasty samples.
You can't help but feel welcomed and relaxed at Tripsdrill. The park's beautiful surroundings and rural life theme work in perfect harmony with its wonderfully themed rides and attractions.
