Rapids
Donnerfluss (German for "Thunder River") is Holiday Park's rapids ride.
Built in 1984, it was the first rapids ride in Germany and was modelled closely on "Thunder River" which had opened at Six Flags Astroworld two years previously.
Today the ride sits underneath the towering Expedition GeForce and offers a fun splashing trip down the river through various rapids, waves, and into a cave.
It is pleasantly themed with rocks and mature vegetation surrounding the water course, although this gets a little monotonous after a while and is a far cry from the theming on some more modern rapids rides.
