Emerging from the castle
Il Castello di Mago Merlino (Italian for "Merlin's Castle") is a dark ride at Fiabilandia which takes riders inside the park's castle building in search of Merlin the wizard.
Visitors are seated in small owl themed cars which each fit two adults and (possibly) a small child. These cars follow a central metal rail around both the inside and outside of the castle, with riders passing various medieval inspired scenes along the way.
There are two indoor sections which are actually rather short - the ride spends the majority of the time outside in the open air, with perhaps less to look at than riders may have been expecting.
Il Castello di Mago Merlino is a pleasant enough children's dark ride, which is enjoyable as long as you do not expect much more than a child-friendly version of a classic ghost train type experience.
