Mammut is Gardaland's Vekoma Mine train rollercoaster, which takes riders on a journey to the North Pole in search of a woolly mammouth.
The coaster has a custom layout which takes the steam engine themed train around snow covered rocks and at times inside the the mountains themselves.
Most of the layout is comprised of long spiralling helices rather than steep drops, which means the train never picks up too much speed although it is fast enough to feel like an out of control train being chased around the Arctic. Three lift hills keep the train going, two of which take place in the dark.
Mammut is a perfect ride for family visitors to Gardaland, and at over 3300 feet long is one of the largest family friendly rollercoasters in Italy.
