The Amsterdam Dungeon is one of the series of Dungeons attractions owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments in cities across the world.

Amsterdam's version opened in September 2005. Visitors make their way through the Dungeon in small groups, experiencing a series of shows depicting scenes from the Netherlands' most gruesome past.

The whole experience is interactive and lasts around an hour, with live actors encouraging visitors to participate fully and take part in various tasks. Shows include moments from Dutch history including the Flying Dutchman ship, the Spanish Inquisition and Rembrandt's Black John.

Part of the attraction is based within a 13th century church, which was used to great effect for the Dungeon's original finale which featured a rollercoaster named Reaper: Drop Ride to Doom which wound its way around the church. This was replaced in 2014, and the experience now ends with a new finale show Murder on the Zeedijk.
