A scene from inside Wild West Adventure
Wild West Adventure is a rather unusual dark boat ride at Slagharen theme park in the Netherlands.
The ride sits inside a large brown dome at the back of the park near Gold Rush. It is themed around a river trip through the wild west, and riders will encounter groups of cowboys and indians along the way.
Unusually, rather than the usual dark ride boats, Wild West Adventure features the round boats more often found on whitewater rapids rides. This may cause visitors to think they are in for a soaking, but in reality the boats float gently down the water channel and around the dark ride scenes.
While there's nothing stand out amazing about Wild West Adventure, its a worthwhile distraction from the rest of the theme park and a welcome indoor attraction.
