Discovery Club's dilapidated house
Discovery Club is Hellendoorn's interactive dark ride which takes place inside a large mansion building.
The ride's theme is a little confusing - apparently there used to be a preshow which explained it properly before it was removed in 2007 - but it is based around a misguided experiment by Professor Nulnix (presumably the house's owner) which has got out of hand. Your job is to help sort out the mess, quelling the misbehaving objects around the house by, erm, shooting them with a laser gun.
Visitors descend into the mansion's basement and board four seater cars, with seats arranged 360° facing outwards. Each comes equipped with a laser gun which riders can use to shoot at targets and score points around the ride.
Despite not really being sure what's going on storyline-wise, it doesn't take long to get into the ride and start shooting up the place. The ride system is great: the ride cars actually spin right around on their central axis which adds to the fun. Theming throughout the mansion is detailed, and there are some interesting scenes to look out for as you tour the house.
