Providing the perfect opportunity to get just the right amount of wet, Wild Waterval (Wild Waterfall) is Avonturenpark Hellendoorn's log flume.
The water ride sits on a lake in a corner of the park and features a 390 metre long course for the log flume boats to float down.
During the journey, the boats pass beside mature bushes and trees which help create the feeling of being on a river in the wilderness.
The ride features a double station for loading the logs. However, as with all log flumes, Wild Waterval's highlight is its 12 metre drop and splash. It's pleasantly wet rather than drenching, which is just right for a sunny Netherlands day in the forest.
Up until 2006 Wild Waterval was known as Canadian River. When it was built in 1982 it was the first log flume in the Netherlands.
