Dragon Roller Coaster is one of the better and more ridable rollercoasters at Energylandia, a park which has sadly become known for its quantity rather than quality of rides.
Dragon is one of Vekoma's Suspended Family Coasters, a ride model which is invariably a lot more comfortable and nicer than its bigger - and generally dire - Suspended Looping Coaster siblings. This version is again a fantastic family ride with some surprisingly intense sections, a lovely layout and a few intense helices and turns throughout.
It is set over a lake, which definitely helps with the general attractiveness of the ride. At one point it dives into the mouth of a huge dragon, with the track dipping through an underwater tunnel. There are other moments where the inverted trains skim just centimetres over the surface of the water, which adds to the overall excitement.
Dragon Roller Coaster is a great family ride and a definite must-do amongst Energylandia's ever-expanding lineup of rollercoasters. The location over the water is wonderful and the ride's intensity and layout is well-pitched. The dive into the dragon's mouth looks brilliant, but it's a shame the theming hasn't been carried through to other parts of the ride too.
