Rabkoland, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2019, is a well run little park in the Polish town of Rabka. It’s family owned, and it’s easy to tell from the enthusiasm of Piotr the owner that it is well cared for too.
The park is split into several different themed zones including mountain, Viking, circus, valley of the bumblebee, and a machine inspired theme for the central area.
Along with a couple of kiddie coasters, one of which has a maximum weight restriction of 40kg – sorry coaster counters, are a nice collection of flat rides and a ferris wheel that is the same model as the one famously abandoned in Chenobyl.
There’s a small circus themed dark ride inside a yellow and red big top tent, which has some cute models of various clowns and stuffed animals performing tricks.
It isn’t hard to see why Rabkoland has lasted for thirty years – the kid friendly ride selection, clean and tidy appearance and nicely themed areas are very appealing. There are enough rides and activities to keep a young family entertained for a few hours, and children will probably enjoy a brief visit to the park’s museum to press a big red button and see a model fairground light up and come to life.
