Mine train
Gruvbanan ("Mine Train" in Swedish) is Skara Sommarland's powered mine train themed rollercoaster.
The ride is a Powered Coaster from German manufacturer Mack Rides, and is an example of their popular mine train style of rollercoasters that can be seen at parks across the world.
Gruvbanan is a great family ride at Skara Sommarland and features quite a lengthy layout of sweeping curves and hills, plus an indoor section enclosing a long helix. The train usually makes two trips around the circuit per ride.
Sadly the building housing the indoor section is just a metal warehouse and - although apparently supposedly a gnome mine - is rather empty. The ride queueline at least has some nice mine style theming.
Gruvbanan is a decent example of a Mack mine train, although it is not at thrilling as some. It is a fun ride, and at least it gives a nice long trip around the track.
