Exploring the harbour town around Shipwreck Coast

A seemingly safe haven in stormy weather, Shipwreck Coast at Chessington World of Adventures is a land full of nautical fun.

The area is themed as a coastal harbour town full of boats, anchors, fishing nets, barrels and sails. There are lots of little details to discover: read the signs to find references to previous Chessington attractions such as the Bubbleworks and Rameses Revenge.

Major attractions in Shipwreck Coast include the notorious Blue Barnacle pirate ship, a fishing boat in distress in Trawler Trouble, the soaking wet Barrel Bail Out, and a perilous boat trip aboard Seastorm.

Alongside the rides are plenty of games to play and puzzles to solve around the area. Guests wanting to try out the freshest local catch will be well served inside the Captain's Fish and Chips restaurant.

Shipwreck Coast officially opened at Chessington on 15th July 2022, replacing the former Pirates' Cove area. It was known as Project Anchor during construction which included the retheming of Pirates' Cove, adding Barrel Bail Out and Trawler Trouble and also refurbishing Seastorm.
