Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin Patch is a small walkthrough and photo opportunity situated behind Crop Drop as part of Chessington World of Adventures' Howl'o'ween event.
The patch is open from midday, and has a pathway through the pumpkins marked out by numerous hay bales. A couple of scarecrow actors can be found along the way, ready to interact and chat with guests.
There are several humourous signs and set pieces to spot throughout, and parts of the scenery and theming have been cleverly recycled from previous years' Creepy Caves. Anyone for a huge barrel of pumpkin soup, or maybe an encounter with a ... erm ... pumpkin spider?
Pumpkin Patch is a simple addition to the Halloween celebrations at Chessington, with a charm of its own thanks to it not taking itself too seriously. While it is unlikely to occupy more than a few minutes of visitor's time, it is great to have another activity to explore.
