Emily and Evie reach Candyland

Trick or Treat Live is Chessington's big song and dance show for their 2022 Howl'o'ween event and takes place on the Mane Stage in the centre of the park, with performances at times throughout the afternoon.

These live shows have been a feature at the Howl'o'ween event for several years, and Trick or Treat Live continues in this tradition. This year's show features an all-female cast of twelve singers, dancers and actors who create a happy halloween atmosphere throughout the 25 minute performance.

Trick or Treat Live follows Emily and Evie, two girls who meet a grumpy witch at the beginning of the story and are sent on an adventure through various doors in search of Candyland and the missing Halloween sweeties which the witch has hidden there.

Great use is made of the stage's giant screen to provide backdrops for the different lands the girls travel to, with quick costume changes from the rest of the cast helping the audience travel to locations including a spooky carnival, a creepy nighttime woodland, and a haunted doll's house before they finally discover Candyland.

Trick or Treat Live is another wonderfully produced halloween show from Chessington. While the story is only really there to link between the show's different acts, the singing and dancing is first class. There's plenty of entertainment, and the show is pitched at just the right length to hold children's interest.
