Mad Mouse
Mad Mouse is the largest rollercoaster on Clarence Pier, and sits on the site formerly occupied by the park's Skyways SDC Galaxi rollercoaster.
The ride, from Italian ride manufacturer SBF Visa Group, is in many ways similar to Skyways with its Zyklon Galaxi track layout featuring two large drops and helices at each side.
There are some great views over The Solent as the ride sits right on the edge of the Pier, and it isn't uncommon to be followed up the lift hill by a passing ferry on its way to the Isle of Wight.
As it is currently brand new the rollercoaster is silky smooth, but it lacks some of the forcefulness of its predecessor.
Clarence Pier has said that Mad Mouse is a permanent addition to the park, although they have also said that Skyways was only being sent away for refurbishment rather than being retired. It seems unlikely that there is physically room for both coasters on the Pier, nor does it make sense to have two such similar rollercoasters operating together, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
