Flight of the Pteranodon
Flight of the Pteranodon - looking more like some weird Leonardo Da Vinci contraption than theme park attraction - is a spinning ride at Gulliver's World in their Lost World area.
The ride is actually a Kite Flyer model from Zamperla, which features 2-person gondolas attached to the outside of a central spinning wheel. Rather than the more usual sitting position, riders lay face down on in the gondolas, with the whole ride supposedly giving the sensation of free flight.
While it is more pleasant than it might first appear and does give a nice thrill, Flight of the Pteranodon is definitely not particularly comfortable. The slightly weird choice of colour scheme doesn't help much either, making it look old and rusty rather than the modern thrill ride it actually is. Similarly to many rides like this, for gentleman it has the added complication of being a bit of a ball-crusher.
