In a departure from the norm, 2018's Legoland Windsor fireworks display did not focus on one theme as they have done in previous years, but instead was themed around a celebration of the theme park itself and featured a number of different Lego themes.

The display was introduced by an audio recording from Jan Jacobsen, who explained that it had been 23 years since they decided to build the first Legoland park outside of Denmark - Legoland Windsor. Following that decision, Legoland has gone on to inspire generations of "master builders".

The rest of the display was made up of set-pieces for various Lego themes that are represented at the park, including Lego Pirates (and the Pirates of Skeleton Bay show), Lego Friends (and the Heartlake City show), the Lego Movie, Lego Star Wars, Lego Ninjago, Lego Batman and Lego Nexo Knights.

The variety of themes, together with the touch of nostalgia, made this one of the best displays in recent years.
