Legoland Express
Legoland's full size train ride departs at regular intervals from a station in the middle of Heartlake City for a trip around the park.
Legoland Express has been at the theme park since it opened in 1996, and features a figure-of-eight track loop which travels through Kingdom of the Pharoahs, Lego City and Adventure Land. It passes various Legoland attractions, including through the queueline of Laser Raiders, over a bridge beside Coastguard HQ, and alongside the Deep Sea Adventure and Haunted House Monster Party show buildings.
The train journey features a safari theme, with Lego models of animals such as tigers, monkeys and pandas to spot along the way. Passengers will need to be careful though, and watch out as some of them squirt water at the train!
Years ago when Johnny Thunder was a widely used theme around the park, the ride was known as "Orient Expedition" and featured the explorer and his friends. When the area around the lighthouse lake was rethemed into Heartlake City in 2015, the train was renamed Heartlake City Express. It was closed in 2018 during the construction of Haunted House Monster Party as part of the track had to be taken up to allow access to the work site, and when it reopened halfway through the 2019 season it had been renamed Legoland Express.
Legoland Express is a popular ride and the queue can look quite long: each trip, however, takes around 150 passengers on the four or five minute journey, so the line tends to move fast when the train is in the station and being loaded.
