Flight of the Pterosaur is a family rollercoaster at Paultons Park, which has riders dangling underneath the track with their legs swinging freely as they fly through the air like a winged dinosaur.
The rollercoaster is a Suspended Family Coaster from Vekoma. Unlike their older SLC brothers, Vekoma's Family Suspended Coasters provide a smooth and enjoyable ride experience. Flight of the Pterosaur is no exception, gliding and soaring over the Lost Kingdom.
Riders will encounter drops and helixes as the trains make their way around the track, with a tunnel through the large rock edifice that encloses the station being a particular highlight.
The ride opened at Paultons Park as part of their new animatronic dinosaur-filled Lost Kingdom area in 2016. It was part of a two ride deal with Vekoma which also saw Velociraptor, the Family Boomerang coaster, opened in the same year. The coasters complement each other well, each offering a different ride experience and adding variety to Paultons' growing collection of family friendly rollercoasters.
