Land of Legends is a ginormous leisure complex just east of Antalya on Turkey's south coast, and comprises a large water park, theme park, hotel and shopping centre.

The water park is by far the largest in Turkey, and the park has recently massively expanded its dry section into a full theme park experience itself, although one which can be accessed directly from the waterpark without needing to change out of swimwear!

On the dry side is one of the best rollercoasters in Turkey: Hyper Coaster, a 200 foot tall monster of a ride from Mack. Featuring two inversions, the coaster is silky smooth, full of airtime and fantastic fun. Another highlight is Typhoon Coaster, a 140ft tall Intamin Water Coaster which comes complete with an impressive station and a dark ride section in the first half.

The waterpark contains a large variety of slides, a lazy river, a giant cone, wave pools and a number of animal encounters. While the slides all offer great experiences, sadly the pathways do not: For some reason, the designers decided to make them out of a rough stone/sandy surface which tears up bare feet and is agony to walk on. As the park is so large, you'll be covering quite a distance walking between the slides so visitors would be wise to invest in a pair of flip flops or sandals to ease their passage.

To avoid needing to carry cash around the park, Land of Legends uses RFID wristband technology. Visitors can add credit to their wristband prior to leaving their wallet in a locker, then purchase items such as food, drinks and souvenirs by having their wristband scanned at the checkout.

As well as rides, Land of Legends has a massive shopping centre which, even if you aren't in the mood for buying things, is well worth a look. The theming is amazing, with elegant shops set around a beautiful river front and a large castle at the head.

Land of Legends is a top quality destination, worthy of international comparison and one of the best theme parks in Turkey. There are some brilliant rides on offer, along with enchanting theming all in a safe, clean environment. The park is well positioned too, sited in Turkey's tourist friendly southern coastal region.
