Korku Evi (Turkish for "House of Fear") is Mazakaland's dark ride set within an impressive Colosseum fascade.

The grandeur of the outside raises the anticipation and excitement for what could potentially lie within. Sadly though the expectation is much greater than the reality.

The dark ride has an Ancient Rome theme, with riders sat in two seater Roman chariot themed ride cars which pass through the station at comically slow speed before commencing their journey. Over two storeys are various scenes of Roman soldiers and the like interspersed with some fairly lengthy dark black sections between. It gets stranger further on, with the soldiers appearing to turn into zombies!

Inside it is a bit of a mish-mash - some scenes are half decent while others are rather low budget. What immersion there might be disappears at several points where the flashing LEDs of control boxes are clearly visible, and at one point a whole bundle of distinctly un-Roman network cables crosses overhead.

Overall Korku Evi feels like a weird crossover between educational historical dark ride and haunted house. While it isn't particularly good, that is transcended by its bizareness which makes it worthy of a ride.
