MOIPark is spread over two floors inside the Mall of Istanbul (hence the name MOI), and gives the impression of a high quality indoor amusement park from the moment visitors enter. It is clean, well laid out, and nicely themed. Across the 12000m² of floor space are a nice variety of rides and other attractions to explore.
The stand out highlights on offer include Pir Döndü, a spinning coaster from Zamperla with a custom layout that takes riders on a journey through a rocky landscape and over the heads of other visitors. The layout is well designed and makes the cars spin in more interesting ways than standard Spinning Wild Mouse rollercoasters.
Also highly recommended is the Istanbul Haunted Hotel attraction: Sprawling over a 750 square metre area, it is much larger than it might first appear. The fifteen minute experience comes in three parts, the first being a live-action scare maze. Unfortunately the accompanying audio and video effects are only available in Turkish, but the actors inside will do their best to translate for English-speakers to get a rough idea of the storyline. Following a mirror maze, hotel guests board small vehicles for a very well done dark ride finale.
I have visited a number of indoor amusement parks and Family Entertainment Centres attached to shopping malls, and MOI Park is right up among the best. The rides are all high quality and well presented, and the staff are fantastically friendly. It is much bigger than most too, and could easily entertain for a couple of hours or more for a single visit.
