Madagascar Mad Pursuit
Madagascar Mad Pursuit is an indoor rollerocoaster at Motiongate Dubai which sends riders into the world of the animated film series.
The theme revolves around the Madagascar characters, known as the Zoosters, being chased through a circus by an animal control officer named Captain DuBois. Seated in eight seater ride vehicles, the chase becomes a rollercoaster ride thanks to a custom layout Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster set within Motiongate's giant air-conditioned Dreamworks building.
Following a short colourful dark ride section filled with animal animatronics is a speedy launch into the main rollercoaster ride - a surprisingly fun expedition through various twists and turns in the dark, with a few props lit up along the way. At one point the coaster briefly bursts out of the darkness and into the main Dreamworks area, before diving back inside the show room.
Madagascar Mad Pursuit is a fun filled family ride which benefits from the smoothness of Gerstlauer's Infinity model, although after the great theming of the queueline, station and dark ride section, the low quality theming in the rollercoaster's darkened room itself is a bit of a disappointment.
