Sledge Hammer
Sledge Hammer is a one-of-a-kind thrill ride at Canada's Wonderland.
The ride, a Giant Jump 2 from Huss, spins around a central tower from which six large arms are attached. At the opposite end of each arm are claw-like contraptions seating eight riders per arm. The arms are raised as the ride spins, then drop rapidly giving riders seated on the claws some pops of airtime as they float out of their seats.
Sledge Hammer looks very impressive, towering over visitors gazing up at it. It isn't actually as intense as it might look though, and gives a pleasurable ride. In recent years sadly it has suffered from extended bouts of downtime, but if it is up and running then it is worth a try.
