Adventureland is an amusement park oozing with old-time Americana, but with none of the rundown feel of some other "classic" American amusement parks.

The park was originally opened in 1974, apparently with the help of Disney in the early planning stages. The influence is keenly felt: the park's entrance with the A-train running above it and turn of the century Main Street beyond could have come straight from Disneyland.

Amongst its ride lineup, Adventureland owns three traditional wooden rollercoasters. Tornado is the oldest, built in 1978. This was joined by Outlaw from Custom Coasters International in 1993. The most recent woodie is the slightly bizarre indoor Underground family coaster.

Adventureland has received a lot of investment recently, with a number of modern rides joining the more traditional woodies and flat rides. A Mondial WindSeeker was added in 2013 and Monster, a bright green and wonderfully paced Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster was built in 2016.
