Peter Pan battles with Captain Hook
Peter Pan's Flight gives guests the opportunity to board a flying pirate ship on a journey from the Darling's house, over London and on to Neverland. It is one of the original attractions that opened on Disneyland's opening day in 1955.
It features audio-animatronic versions of many of the characters from the animated film, including Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Smee and Princess Tiger Lily together with the Darling children.
There are some wonderful special effects: The nighttime flight over a blacklit London complete with the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge and St Paul's Cathedral all laid out along the River Thames is magical. Neverland, with the Lost Boy's Camp and Skull Rock looks great set against its three-dimensional starry backdrop.
This is by far the most popular of all of the Disneyland dark rides, and due to its relatively low capacity attracts long queues even on quiet days. Many guests rush into Fantasyland to ride it first thing in the morning, as from that point on it usually sustains a long queue time for the entire day.
