Fans of friendly competition will love Racer 75, the racing woodie at Kings Dominion.
The wooden coaster was built in 1975 for the park's opening, and features two tracks with trains racing each other down the out-and-back circuit.
It was originally known as Rebel Yell, a name that harked back to a Confederate battle cry. With growing sensitivities around the Civil War, the ride was renamed Racer 75 in 2018.
Trains are painted red or blue, making it easy to distinguish between them as they race.
Given the coaster's advancing years, it is incredibly smooth and great fun to ride. There's plenty of airtime as the trains navigate the various airtime hills.
Racer 75 is a great ride, with the racing element adding to the fun. Its a classic woodie, and a must-do highlight of Kings Dominion.
