Woodstock Express
Woodstock Express is a junior wooden rollercoaster at Kings Dominion and is suitable for all the family.
The ride sits in the Planet Snoopy area of the park, and is easy to spot with its distinctive bright blue colour scheme.
It was designed by John C Allen and built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. The woodie was originally opened in 1974 as part of a preview event prior to the official opening of Kings Dominion in 1975.
It was originally named "Scooby-Doo", and after several changes of name was given its current "Woodstock Express" title in 2013.
While its diminutive 35ft height puts in firmly in junior woodie territory, Woodstock Express gives a surprisingly good ride. It's pleasantly smooth and has some decent forces and minor pops of airtime, whilst at the same time remaining family friendly.
