The smallest of the rollercoasters on offer at Six Flags America, Great Chase is the perfect first coaster for little children visiting the park.
The ride has a mine-cart themed train which gently rolls around its 280 foot track, reaching only a not-too-scary thirteen feet off the ground. Its backstory features a wacky race through the desert between Looney Tunes favourites Road Runner and Wile E Coyote.
Great Chase's ride hardware comes from Italian manufacturer Zamperla and is one of their Family Gravity model coasters.
Most kids will love Great Chase and the chance to experience some rollercoaster thrills. Adults may not find the ride quite so great - it can be rather uncomfortable and slam larger riders into the sides as it travels around, especially as it whips around the final bend.
