Batman the Ride is a B&M Inverted coaster which sits in the Studio Backlot section at Six Flags St Louis.
The rollercoaster is a clone of the original Batman the Ride at Six Flags Great America, although it was the first to be built as a mirror image of the original design.
Riders enter through the gates of Gotham City Park, before the queueline takes them through a sewer and into Batman's lair, the batcave. Once in their seats, with legs danging they ascend the 105 foot lift hill.
From the top of the lift, the train takes a diving drop to the right to line up with a vertical loop. Following this is a zero-G roll into a second vertical loop. After some sweeping turns comes two corkscrews, before the train speeds into the final brakes and returns Batman's riders into the heart of the Batcave.
Along with other versions of Batman the Ride, the coaster at Six Flags St Louis is smooth and intense, and a favourite among guests. It's the usual winning formula of sustained positive Gs and multiple inversions that have ensured its longlived and well-deserved reputation as a fantastic rollercoaster.
