Rather than being the morning consequence of a good evening out the night before, Hangover: The Tower is the slightly oddly named gyro-drop tower ride owned by German showman Ewald Schneider.
Standing at 85 metres high, the ride is currently the largest travelling drop tower in the world. It was built in Vienna by Funtime at a cost of €2.8 million and premiered at the Dusseldorf Rheinkirmes in Germany on 18 July 2015.
Along with the full drop sequence accelerating at 90km/h from 80 metres above the ground (the additional 5 metres is accounted for by a huge display on the top of the tower), the rotating gondola can also be dropped from half way up the tower to add more variation to the ride.
The twenty four seats feature lapbars instead of full over-the-shoulder restraints, along with "magic fingers" which both add to the already remarkable thrills on offer.
Hangover: The Tower can be found touring fairs in Germany, and has been a regular visitor to London for Winter Wonderland since 2015.
