A weekend trip over to Denmark with the ECC.
This was an European Coaster Club weekender over to Denmark to visit Djurs Sommerland and Fårup. The coach pick up/drop off was at Billund Airport, so it seemed the ideal opportunity to tack on an extra day and also visit Legoland Billund, which was only a mile or so walk from the airport's Zleep Hotel.
Djurs' new ride for the year was Juvelen, a smooth and fun launched motorbike coaster, and they were very keen to show it off to us. After the park closed we also had an ERS on Piraten, their renowned Intamin coaster which gave some spectacular airtime. We had a very wet trip to Fårup on the Sunday, but still managed to have a great time trying out their Vekoma suspended family coaster and all their other rides. Luckily Monday dawned bright and sunny, and a small group of us who had stayed on after the main trip enjoyed a glorious day at the original Legoland.
