Fourteen hours at one of the best theme parks in France...
It was officially our coach drivers' day off, and today's park was walking distance from our hotel
Getting sorted out with maps, etc
Futuroscope is a huge theme park with a science focus
It is one of the most visited parks in Europe
Our day started with an exclusive tour of their latest ride, Chasseurs de Tornades (Tornado Chasers)
One of the project team was on hand to tell us about her experiences and answer all our questions
Firstly we had a ride through of the attraction
We were then taken behind the scenes

The tour had been fascinating and I really enjoyed the opportunity to see behind the scenes
Futuroscope only has one rollercoaster, Objectif Mars
It was an extremely long queue
It was extensively themed though, and took us through various parts of a space station in zero gravity

The cars were supposed to turn, but there was an incident with the coaster earlier in the season which meant this feature had been removed

After lunch it was time to go on an extraordinary voyage
La Machine à Voyager dans le Temps was one of my favourite rides at Futuroscope
We all sat on toilet seats for a hilarious time travel themed dark ride
I was very glad to have the live translation for La Vienne Dynamique, a big screen film which followed a hapless man trying to get to his wedding on time
Dynamic really threw everybody around
Sauvetage Academy was so much fun, and my feet got soaked!
There was a long hold-up before we got on Arthur L'Aventure 4D but it was a nice little (giant!) film when we got there
Dances with Robots was another highlight, with a room full of robocoaster arms all synchronised to music
We had dinner at Le Buffet D'Arthur: there was plenty of choice!
Gyrotower offered the perfect post-dinner ride
We just managed to catch the last run of Etincelle before all the attractions closed for the night
Time to take our seats for La Clé des Songes, Futuroscope's evening show
It featured fountains, fireworks, giant projections and special effects set on a lake
After over fourteen hours at the park, it was time to walk back to the hotel
