A theme park with no rides?!
Thursday 13th July 2023
Parc de la Vallée
Starting with Magic Pomme, the smallest coaster at the park
It was a low budget approach to on-ride photos!
Bobsleigh is Parc de la Vallée's biggest rollercoaster
Grand Canyon was an oversized butterfly
Luge was a self-operated ride
Rolling down the channel
It was a lot of fun
We rode the dotto train back to the other end of the park
Parc de la Vallée had a Nautic Jet
Flying
Splash
Trying the kiddie flume
Lunch at the park's Cafétéria
Puy du Fou
I'd been really looking forward to visiting the second park of the day, Puy du Fou
It is a park made up exclusively of shows, rather than rides or rollercoasters
The climax of the show saw the legendary round table rising out of the lake
There was a giant crowd waiting to get inside Puy du Fou's Roman stadium
Chariot race
Flaming Roman galleon
Waves crashing into the ship in a storm
Eating in the evening sunshine
Drivers' hours meant we couldn't stay for the evening show, so we made our way back to the coach
A very late 11:30pm hotel check-in brought the day to a close with a massive relief:
it was one of the first hotels of the trip where the air conditioning in the room actually worked!
