Another early start on the bus at 7:30am to travel to Walibi Rhône-Alpes
Some of the group getting into position for the obligatory group photo
We began with an ERS on Timber, a slightly uncomfortable woodie
Followed straight away by another ERS on the superb Mystic
Everyone seemed to really enjoy it
Generator is the park's Vekoma Boomerang
It had a really weird restraint design with NO padding!
Our coach drivers even joined in
Walibi's wild mouse was called Woodstock Express
Can I get a walibi wave?
Of course we had to ride the kiddie coaster
Paparazzi
The train looked fun ...
... so we had a go ourselves
We had a delicious group lunch at BBQ de Miss Issippi
A glass of Kir included!
It was very hot in the sun, so we went to watch the dive show
The high dive finale
Hot!
The stunt show was something about monkeys and bananas, but the rest was lost on me
It was a long four hour drive to our next hotel, but the views through the Alps were spectacular
The hotel was the weirdest of the trip, with an overly officious lady on the check in desk demanding that she spoke to each
of us before allowing us to have our room keys. There was a bizarre system where we had to tell her how hot or cold we wanted our room,
with the air conditioning controlled by the front desk. We dare not make the wrong decision though, as the front desk closed just after
we arrived and there was no chance to change anything until the morning!
